The race to become the top assist provider in European football for the 2024/25 season is highly competitive.
Last season’s European Assists King was a surprising winner, with Villarreal’s Alex Baena finishing ahead of Ollie Watkins and Alejandro Grimaldo in a tightly contested battle. Baena claimed the title for the first time, registering 14 assists in La Liga. His victory was supported by a strong finish to the season. While his total of 14 assists was one of the lowest in recent years, it was still a remarkable achievement in a season where 23 players from Europe’s top five leagues reached double figures in assists.
The European Assists King award for the 2024/25 season will be awarded to the player with the most assists across Europe’s top five leagues: the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1. The ranking is based solely on the number of assists, with no coefficients or scaling between leagues. The leaderboard will also track the top assist providers in each individual league, and the standings will be updated throughout the season.
Who has the most assists in Europe?
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka currently leads the European assist chart for the 2024/25 season with 10 assists. The dynamic winger is enjoying another stellar campaign in the Premier League.
In second place is Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, who has provided nine assists in La Liga, building on his impressive performances at Euro 2024.
Tied for third place are Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Lazio’s former Arsenal player Nuno Tavares, both with eight assists to their names.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush follows with seven assists. Meanwhile, a group of players sits on six assists, including Barcelona’s Raphinha, PSG’s Joao Neves, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, Manchester United’s Amad Diallo, Werder Bremen’s Marvin Ducksch, and Freiburg’s Vincenzo Grifo.
The battle for the European Assists King award remains fierce as players across the continent continue to push for top honors.
